Your conversations with the women you approach should have an end goal. For most guys, this is a phone number close. By getting her phone number, you're getting a continued shot at demonstrating that you are a high value alpha male who is interested in her rather than a guy who wants her approval and affection to validate him.
The trouble is, most guys lose their sense of confidence and stumble over themselves when asking for a phone number. I've worked with a lot of guys who fall apart at this stage. Even if they do get the phone number, they find that she's already forgotten them by the time they call. When possible, you want to make a strong impression all the way through the number close. Leave with a bang and not only will she remember you, but she'll ask why it took you so long to call her!
Number Close 1: Fill in the blank.
This one is simple and works a huge percentage of the time. It even makes a bigger impression on her the longer it takes to work. Simply pull out your phone, look at her with one cocked eyebrow, and say the area code of wherever you are in a way that makes it clear that you expect her to finish it. Keep looking at her without saying anything until she gives you the number or says no. It's almost guaranteed that she'll say yes, and your ability to hold the tension until she gives it to you is very impressive. She'll remember that.
This one works best if you're in a coffee shop or bookstore rather than a club, since it's more likely that she's from around the same area. If you're in a vacation spot or somewhere else where she's not likely to be a local, start spelling her name out loud as you type it into your phone. Look at her in the same expectant way until she finishes the entry.
Number Close 2: The bandit.
After the conversation is going, tell her to lend her phone to you. Don't ask. Say "give me your phone," and put your hand out expectantly.
You'll notice a pattern here. Act as if you fully expect things to go your way. That's confidence. Don't confuse it with forcing anything-no still means no-but act as if it will an extreme surprise if things don't go your way.
When she gives you her phone, dial your own number. Then give it back to her, smile, say thanks, and walk away. Don't stick around after you get the number, since this unexpected end to it is going to be what leaves a lasting impression.
Number Close 3: Magic.
This one takes a little practice and sleight of hand, but you can pull it off. Take a napkin and tear it into lots of pieces large enough to write a phone number on. Ask her if she believes in destiny while you do this, and smile knowingly no matter what she says.
Tell her to write her number on one of the pieces. As she does this, start wadding up the others and making a pile out of them. Make sure to do it slowly enough that some of them still need to be wadded up when she's finished writing her number.
Here's the sleight of hand. Pinch one of the wadded up pieces of paper between your index and middle fingers so that she can't see it. Hold out your hand and have her give you the paper with her number. Wad it up like the others, but throw the blank one down and pinch the one with her number instead. Continue wadding up the rest of the pieces until you're done.
Then get dramatic. Tell her that if you pick her number then you'll call her, and otherwise it's not meant to be and the two of you will each go your own way.
When she agrees, take an empty piece of paper and drop it into your pocket along with the one with her number written on it. Then leave or go back to your friends and call her the next day.
The basic idea with all of these number closes is to do something different from every other guy. It's not difficult and you don't need to get too extravagant, but wear a little confidence and be creative and you can come up with your own.
