As we grow our lives and relationships grow and we become stronger, and hopefully our relationships with other people do to.

Whatever role we play, we have a part in how our relationships grow and mature. We decide how we want people around us to think of us and we control how we act and how we get treated. We decide what we get from all of our relationships and how people around us react to us. We set the tone for the feel of our relationships. They do not have to be intimate relationships, all of them count.

If you can learn to be a good friend, you can make any relationship work. Learning to be a good friend is not hard, it may take some time.
