What Is He or She Really Thinking on a First Date?

One of the most complicated things to comprehend is whether or not the person that you're with is enjoying themselves. A lot of people despise trying to find the right person for this very reason. Trying to find Mr. or Ms. Right can be very tiring, especially when you feel as though it's more of a chore then something enjoyable. There are ways in which you can tell what he/she is thinking, simply by reading their cues. Even if you don't have the best luck with reading people, you can learn how to tell exactly what they're thinking on a first date.

If you're wondering whether or not your companion is enjoying themselves, read their body language. Does he/she look as though they're comfortable? Are they smiling a lot, and communicating openly and freely? When someone is not truly enjoying themselves, they often act standoffish as though they're waiting to run for the door. Often, they actually keep an eye on the door. If things are going well, you will be able to tell simply by looking at the way in which he/she is reacting to conversation.

Consider your overall conversation. Is he/she opening up to you, and allowing you to get a glimpse of the person that they really are? Are they making direct eye contact while speaking to you? If your communication seems to lack depth, you may be in trouble. However, keep in mind that sometimes people just don't open up easily. Try asking questions about their personal life, and what they enjoy doing. If he/she responds with answers rather than snip its, they may just not be a very open communicator.

The eyes are the window to the soul. If you're really wondering what he/she is thinking, look into their eyes when you're talking to them. You can often tell exactly how someone is feeling if you practice this move. By looking into their eyes you should be able to tell whether or not they're just nervous or simply not interested at all. Keep conversation flowing in a positive direction, and make plenty of eye contact. If you feel as though they may lack interest, cut the date short. There is no use wasting your time, there are plenty of other fish in the sea!

With these tips combined you should be able to get a fairly good idea of exactly what he/she is thinking. dating truly is an art, and you can learn to master it. Get out there and enjoy the fun and excitement that dating has to offer! Find out what he/she is thinking, and save yourself from the 'I wonder?' But most of all, remember to have fun and even if there is no real romantic spark and connection you can always make a new friend!
