How to Get a Guy to Like Me - 8 Tips on How to Get a Second Date

How do I get a guy to like me and ask me on a second date? There are a lot of dating questions out there and this is one of them. Women often wonder what they should do in order to get a guy to like them enough to have a second with them. If you're really into this guy then here are some tips to score a second date with him.

1. Let him make the first move

If you're trying to figure out how to "get a guy to like me and ask me out on a second date," then you don't make the first move. Men usually like making the first move and want to be in control. You can suggest the idea of a second date so there's no harm in letting him be the man and take the lead.

2. Don't contact him after the first date

No text messages saying goodnight, have a safe drive home, or even thank you. You can give him a quick response if he texts you just as long as you don't text him first. He will get in touch with you if he wants to ask you for a second date.

3. Focus on the date

Try not to let your mind wander about what your friends are doing now. If you want him to ask you out again, then you should already be having a great time in your first date. He will be impressed if you're able to say something about the information he just told you instead of just nodding and pretending that you're listening.

4. Kiss him

People say "no kissing on the first date." Not entirely true because you're allowed to give him a quick peck on the lips. It's a simple kiss that acts like an invitation. It's risky but it can also work. Just be sure you don't kiss him on the cheek as this may send out the wrong signal.

5. Don't act like the jealous girlfriend

Try not to act like the jealous girlfriend because first of all, this is just the first date. You're not exactly his girlfriend. So don't glare at the other women in the area or act uncomfortable whenever he mentions another female like his sister. Possessiveness isn't exactly attractive.

6. Leave past relationships in the past

No one really wants to hear about their date's ex during the first date. You're ruining the mood if you mention your ex boyfriend. In fact, it would be better if you refer to your ex as your "friend" if there are stories you want to share that may have involved him.

7. Let him pay if he offers

If he offers to pay then you should let him pay. They wouldn't suggest paying it all if they wanted you to share the bill. It's not sexist nor does it mean that you owe him anything. Just be gracious and thank him.

8. Don't post your date online

Some women make the mistake of broadcasting their dates on the Internet. This is your date and your business and he might not appreciate it if you single him out. It might turn him off and there goes your chances of getting a second date with him.

When trying to "get a guy to like me" just remember to play it cool. Don't act like a giddy schoolgirl or a bored snob when you're out on a date with him. If he likes you and was impressed by you, then he'll call you and ask you out again.
