How to Get the Girl: Dating Advice for Men

dating is one venue for two people to get to know each other better. So when you get the chance to date the person that you're initially attracted to, you surely wouldn't want to blow your chance. But what are good dates made of? How can you make your date the most memorable one for the both of you? For guys out there who want to make the best out of this opportunity, here is a list of dating advice for men that you might want to take note of:

1. Be prepared. If you want to make a good first impression, show your date that you put some effort into your special day. Take a hot, relaxing bath and grab your best attire. Pay close attention to detail and make sure that your clothes look flattering on you. If you want to show your date that you're the thoughtful kind of guy, then buy her something beforehand: it might sound a little too clichéd but if you're not sure what to get her, then go for the safe options, like flowers and chocolates. And lastly, load up on cash-you never know when the need for it might arise.

2. Be punctual. No one likes a late date. If you're a woman, you wouldn't like it if you fussed over your appearance for hours, only to be left hanging in cold sweat. So if you want to make a nice impression, make sure that you arrive at your meeting place a few minutes before the set time.

3. Know how to juggle a conversation. It's hard to date a guy who can't keep a decent conversation. And it's just as hard to be stuck with someone who doesn't know when to stop talking. So learn the art of talking and listening. Keep yourself interesting without sounding conceited. Let your date talk about her interests and respond only when it's appropriate. It might be a little awkward to keep a conversation with someone you just met but give it a chance: if everything goes well, you'll be more comfortable about the whole setup eventually.

4. Keep your fanaticism to a minimum, especially on the first date. Are you a devout member of a certain religious order? Is there a sport or a celebrity that you are obsessed over? While you might find some these things interesting, remember that other people might not feel the same way about it. So as much as possible, refrain from getting into these topics, especially if you don't know your date yet.

5. Don't expect sex after the first date. This one of those dating advice for men that you should firmly keep in mind. If you're a man of class, you will wait for the right time for this kind of thing. If you're just after the sex, then you've completely missed the whole point of dating.

Although there's a good rationale behind each and every tip, remember that this dating advice for men won't work if you don't know how to deliver.
